ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Establishes and maintains effective communication with applicable departments, physicians, clinics, and other departments as required. • Responsible for searching out new and unique opportunities within assigned territory for community engagement and brand awareness resulting in new patient growth. • Accounts include primary care physicians, specialists, and other referral sources. • Maintains and updates the clinic's physician and patient referral programs • Effectively works with the scheduling department to ensure smooth receipt and scheduling of physician referred patients. • Assists in the development and execution of internal and external special events. • Assists in the development and execution of the clinic's physician programs to enhance community education and foster positive relations between the clinic and the greater community. • Maintains and adheres to a marketing/physician relations budget for the calendar year. • Promotes the organization among members of the medical community in order to establish partnerships and affiliations, as well as consistent referral patterns. • Meets or exceeds physician relations, department, and organizational goals. EDUCATION • Bachelor's degree preferred EXPERIENCE • 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area. • Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, payers, patients, and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers. • Social Media experience is a must KNOWLEDGE • Knowledge of concepts of marketing, communications, and public relations. • Knowledge of the health care field and orthopedics, neurology, physical therapy, etc. • Knowledge of healthcare electronic medical records systems. SKILLS • Skill in the development and implementation of marketing lectures/talks. • Skill in promoting the organization in the community. • Skill in executing special events. ABILITIES • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and providers. • Ability to be organized. • Ability to exercise independent judgment. ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS • Normal office environment with travel within the community. • Constant contact with individuals from many backgrounds. • Minimum exposure to communicable diseases. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. • Some bending and stretching are required. • Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
