About The Position

The Marketing Operations Lead will play a central role in ensuring the Marketing Department runs smoothly and efficiently, managing the systems, processes, and reporting that drive our marketing and business development efforts forward. This role is ideal for an experienced marketing professional who thrives on building structure, improving processes, and balancing hands-on execution with strategic oversight. The Marketing Operations Lead will oversee email marketing platforms, proposal coordination, project management, vendor coordination, event management and budget operations, ensuring that Bolton’s communications and marketing activities are well executed, compliant, and impactful.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in marketing operations.
  • Hands-on experience managing email marketing platforms and campaign execution.
  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders, while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating proposals or RFP submissions in a professional services environment.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools, CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce or similar), and reporting dashboards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consulting or professional services environments.
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact, Microsoft Dynamics and content management systems.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email and website troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated success in improving marketing processes and introducing operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize email marketing platform, including campaign setup, list segmentation, reporting, and compliance with email regulations.
  • Maintain and enhance integration between marketing systems (CRM, automation platforms, website CMS) to support firmwide initiatives.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral are well-branded, accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Lead project management for marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring deliverables are on time, on budget, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Coordinate proposal processes across departments, working with consultants, subject matter experts, and leadership to deliver compelling and compliant submissions.
  • Develop and refine workflows, documentation, and templates that streamline team operations and improve efficiency.
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards to track marketing and communications performance across campaigns and channels.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to optimize campaign performance, audience engagement, and proposal win rates.
  • Ensure marketing data is accurate, consistent, and compliant across platforms.
  • Oversee budget management, procurement, and vendor/contract administration for the Marketing Department.
  • Support audit, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements for marketing operations.
