Redefine the future of customer experiences. One conversation at a time. At Nextiva, we’re reimagining how businesses connect, bringing together customer experience and team collaboration on a single, conversation centric platform. Powered by AI, driven by human innovation. Our culture is forward thinking, customer obsessed and built on the belief that meaningful connections drive better business outcomes. If you’re ready to collaborate with incredible people, make an impact, and help businesses everywhere deliver truly amazing experiences, this is where you belong. Build Amazing. Deliver Amazing. Live Amazing. Be Amazing. We’re looking for a Marketing Operations Engineer to help us build smarter, faster, and more scalable ways of working across marketing. This role sits within Marketing Operations and reports into our Senior Manager of Marketing Operations, who owns strategy, planning, and prioritization. Your job is to execute, automate, and innovate—turning ideas into systems, workflows, and solutions that actually ship. You’ll work closely with the marketing campaigns team and business development team to operationalize campaigns, maintain marketing systems, and continuously improve how work gets done across the organization. If you love solving messy problems, experimenting with tools, and figuring out how AI and automation can eliminate manual work, this role is for you. You don’t need to be a software engineer—but you do need to enjoy building systems and improving processes.

  • Hands-on experience working with marketing or CRM systems
  • A strong builder mindset and natural curiosity for how systems work

  • Interest in AI-powered workflows and automation
  • Ability to take direction and independently execute operational work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot system issues
  • Clear communicator who can explain what they built and why
  • Ability to discern tactics from strategy and guide peers toward effective operational solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, Workato, Segment, LeanData, ZoomInfo, or similar
  • Experience building or experimenting with AI-powered workflows
  • Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, or system integrations
  • Experience supporting demand generation, lifecycle marketing, or growth teams
  • Experience working in agency environments where multiple systems and processes are managed

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain marketing automation workflows, particularly within HubSpot
  • Support execution of marketing campaigns and operational processes including email builds, list creation, workflow setup, attribution tagging, and QA
  • Identify manual or repetitive processes and automate them using AI, integrations, and workflow tools
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Marketing Ops to translate marketing strategy into scalable systems and operational processes
  • Own day-to-day execution in marketing ops tools (CRM, marketing automation platforms, enrichment tools, reporting tools, orchestration tools)
  • Experiment with AI tools and automation workflows to improve speed, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Troubleshoot issues across marketing systems, data flows, and workflows—and resolve them
  • Help connect systems using integrations, APIs, or webhooks when needed
  • Create lightweight documentation so workflows and systems can scale beyond you
  • Continuously look for opportunities to make marketing operations more reliable, scalable, and efficient

Benefits

  • Multiple health plan options to suit your needs, including medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine coverage
  • Life, disability, and supplemental indemnity plans
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) for salaried employees, PTO for hourly employees, Paid Sick Time (PST), paid parental bonding leave, and paid holidays
