About The Position

The Marketing Manager for Musco Center for the Arts at Chapman University is responsible for advancing and promoting audience engagement through strategic marketing, branding, and promotional campaigns. Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of progressive, related experience in performing arts center marketing and promotions.
  • Experience in marketing and audience development within the arts sector.
  • Proven success in engaging diverse community groups and audiences in the arts.
  • Experience in creating and implementing successful outreach campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills to engage and motivate teams.
  • BS in Arts Administration, Business, Marketing or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and develop solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front-facing team members on the day of performances and public events.
  • Conduct data-driven market research for programming and develop ticket pricing strategies.
  • Create and implement advertising plans across print, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Steward and cultivate partnerships, media relations, and cross-promotions.
  • Develop communications and public relations messages.
  • Research and prepare grant applications for funding opportunities.
  • Represent the Center at professional, community, and campus events.
  • Track sales goals and develop advertising and media plans to promote seasons and programs.
  • Create and manage digital content for the Center's website and social media.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing and Communication team for branding projects.
  • Serve as the point person for public-facing artist relations.
  • Expand information efforts in collaboration with other university departments.
  • Lead the creation of print and digital publications for performances.
  • Identify and manage relationships with local arts organizations and community groups.
  • Produce and host special events to enhance audience loyalty.
  • Build and manage annual promotional and marketing budgets.
