About The Position

Deseret Digital Media is looking for an energetic, innovative, and experienced Marketing Manager to lead growth for KSL Cars, Utah's trusted automotive marketplace. We're seeking a results-driven marketer with a strong foundation in automotive marketing, digital campaign strategy, and customer journey management. The ideal candidate knows how to market to car buyers and sellers, understands platform-level ad products like Vehicle Listing Ads (VLAs) and Automotive Inventory Ads (AIAs), and has experience leveraging marketing automation tools like Braze to engage audiences across touchpoints. You'll craft and execute performance-driven, omni-channel campaigns that accelerate user acquisition, seller conversions, and retention. This role requires a strong balance of creative thinking, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, and creative teams.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in digital marketing, ideally in automotive, marketplace, or app-based environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience running Google Ads (especially VLA campaigns) and Meta Ads, with certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated success growing user engagement, listings, or transactions in a consumer-facing digital product.
  • Comfortable presenting marketing plans and campaign performance to cross-functional teams and executives.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, performance dashboards, and using data to drive decisions.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at multitasking.

  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead growth marketing strategy across KSL Cars with a focus on both B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention through campaigns across web, app, email, SMS, paid social, and search.
  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid automotive ad campaigns, including VLAs, AIAs, Google Ads, and Meta.
  • Build, test, and deploy lifecycle marketing campaigns using Braze, aligned with customer journey stages.
  • Segment audiences based on platform behavior, usage patterns, and sales funnel stage to improve targeting and personalization.
  • Manage a cross-platform promotional calendar aligned with seasonal trends and business goals.
  • Partner with the product team to support feature launches and enhance in-product marketing moments.
  • Oversee partnerships, sponsorships, and event marketing efforts tied to the automotive ecosystem.
  • Regularly analyze and present campaign performance, audience insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Track and optimize media spend for performance and ROI.
  • Conduct user and market research to inform strategy.
  • Work with internal content and creative teams, as well as freelance writers, to produce compelling automotive articles.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to align on campaign messaging, content strategy, and platform-specific execution.
