About The Position

Telemundo 48’s Marketing Internship provides students with real world experience and exposure to working in a top ten television market. Interns may gain experience in the marketing department, social, digital and on-air campaign planning/producing, and/or with working on our digital and social platforms. Successful interns will demonstrate a passion for learning and the ability to step out of their comfort zone. We are looking for students who are highly motivated and who can function as a team member or independently in a fast-paced environment. Interns are introduced to every aspect of our marketing department, within a structured and supervised environment. Local marketing interns spend time observing, learning, and participating.

Requirements

  • Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Canva, PowerPoint
  • Proficient with Instagram, Meta business, Facebook, X, Youtube, and TikTok trends
  • Experience pulling and analyzing social media reports and providing insights and recommendations.
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress. We will consider recent graduates one semester beyond degree.
  • Current class standing of Junior or above
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Bilingual: fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a Visa or sponsorship
  • The ability to work at the station, located at 2450 N. First Street, San Jose, CA

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar and comfortable with graphic design and video editing skills
  • Familiar with production and DSLR camera knowledge
  • Familiar with the creation and execution of social media and Digital Marketing campaigns
  • Passionate about marketing and production
  • Desired Backgrounds Include: Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Production, Social Media, Digital Media, Research.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Plan and execute social media and Digital Marketing Strategies
  • Participate in community events
  • Plan, produce, and edit campaigns spots as needed (promos, psa’s, image campaigns)
