Find out more at www.prairiecap.com. Internship Description Our Marketing internship program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in marketing. Prairie’s internship program will provide participants an in‐depth look at business‐to‐business marketing in a professional services environment. Interns will work alongside our marketing team, learning valuable skills and knowledge that will aid in a B2B marketing position. As a marketing intern, you will gain exposure to a variety of projects, such as event planning, database management, collateral development, internal and external communications, and presentation creation. Interns will work on their day‐to‐day responsibilities with support and mentorship from a variety of Prairie professionals. Our internship program is designed around our current business needs and the availability of the participant(s). In order to produce a meaningful experience, interns will be reviewed during and at the end of program.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in marketing; passionate about learning the functions of a marketing department.
  • Junior or Senior at a four-year degree program majoring in marketing with a minimum 4 undergraduate cumulative GPA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage tight timelines in a team
  • Ability to work 15‐20 hours a week in our Oakbrook Terrace office.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the firm’s robust webinar program.
  • Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management “CRM”) database updates to ensure data integrity of our prospects.
  • Marketing event support.
  • Presentation proofing and preparation.
  • Marketing collateral distribution.
  • Participate in marketing and firm meetings to understand how a marketing team functions in a B2B environment.
  • Researching businesses and industries for various brand marketing initiatives.
  • Salesforce database
  • Internal and external marketing communication proofing and preparation.
  • Business development support, including printing and binding pitch materials.
  • Support marketing team on various projects.
