Job Description: The Intern role at OSJL is a paid, full-time, temporary role responsible for developing a broad knowledge of the Company in order to further build the OSJL brand. All interns will learn and benefit from weekly program educational experiences, as well as in-person and virtual networking opportunities. Each intern will give a final presentation to Ocean State Job Lot leadership and ownership.

Requirements

• Working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is required.
• Strong academic credentials are required.
• Experience using Microsoft Suite and ability to learn and use Google platforms.
• Must have reliable transportation to attend program educational experiences at different Company locations.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule as determined by area leadership.

Responsibilities

• Shadow multiple department members to gain understanding of individual roles in the department.
• Assist with projects, programs, as well as services to execute department objectives.
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
• Acquire an understanding of the business environment, conduct, compliance, and ethics of a retail organization.
• Effectively utilize virtual means to communicate efficiently and work independently under remote conditions.
