About the position

As an Intern in the Marketing department at Stride, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects that aim to enhance the visibility and understanding of K12-powered schools. This position is designed for individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from administrative and clerical duties to project work, all tailored to meet the evolving needs of the business. You will be instrumental in managing and promoting multiple social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and Twitter, ensuring that prospective parents are well-informed about the offerings of K12-powered schools. In this role, you will assist in creating and preparing various content, presentations, and marketing materials as assigned. You will utilize various technologies and platforms to execute tasks effectively. Your contributions will include supporting the development of social media strategies, graphic design, and blog writing. You will also evaluate social media metrics and help prepare reports to monitor performance, ensuring that the marketing efforts align with the company's overall enrollment goals. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with school staff to highlight student stories and provide suggestions for collecting user-generated content. You will be expected to contribute to content planning meetings by pitching trending ideas and challenges for multi-platform campaigns. Additionally, you will assist with day-to-day administrative and operational duties, fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external organizations to ensure timely and accurate communications. Responsibilities

  • Assist with various projects within the Marketing department.
  • Support multiple K12-powered school social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and Twitter.
  • Provide website support and social media strategy.
  • Create graphics and videos for social media channels.
  • Evaluate social media metrics and prepare team reports to monitor performance.
  • Organize social media content in a monthly editorial calendar.
  • Plan and schedule social media content using management platforms and tools.
  • Collaborate with school staff to highlight and showcase student stories.
  • Provide suggestions on best practices for collecting user-generated content.
  • Contribute trending ideas and actively participate in content planning meetings.
  • Create weekly pitches about trending challenges and ideas for multi-platform campaigns.
  • Assist the team with day-to-day administrative and operational duties as assigned.
  • Develop marketing materials as assigned by the team.

Requirements

  • Currently working towards an undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, English or another relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, and Twitter.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to leverage technology effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong project and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Proficiency in MS365 and web technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with photo editing and graphic design tools, including Canva.
  • Experience with video editing, including Animoto, TikTok video creation skills, and YouTube knowledge.
  • Experience with a Social Media Management system, like Sprout Social or Hootsuite.
