About The Position

FreshDirect is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team! This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple marketing functions, including retention marketing, content creation, social media, digital marketing, sponsorship, event planning, customer acquisition, and performance measurement. You will gain exposure to a fast-paced e-commerce environment while helping to drive FreshDirect's mission of delivering amazing food to our customers.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student (Junior/Senior preferred) or recent graduate studying Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Passion for food, e-commerce, and digital marketing.
• Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to create compelling content.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and trends (experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, or video editing is a plus!).
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing data and trends.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and curating content for FreshDirect's social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook).
• Support influencer and content creator partnerships, helping to identify and engage with brand-aligned creators.
• Track social media trends and recommend innovative ways to enhance brand engagement.
• Support email and SMS marketing campaigns to retain and engage customers.
• Assist in developing and executing customer loyalty initiatives, promotions, and personalized offers.
• Analyze campaign performance and provide insights for optimization.
• Help coordinate sponsorship activations with community organizations, food brands, and local events.
• Assist in outreach efforts to develop strategic partnerships with businesses and influencers.
• Contribute to planning and executing promotional campaigns with brand partners.
• Support the planning and execution of FreshDirect events, including in-person activations, food tastings, and brand pop-ups.
• Work with local vendors, community organizations, and schools to expand event reach.
• Assist in tracking event success and customer engagement metrics.
• Assist with ad campaign execution across paid search, paid social, and display advertising.
• Help analyze key performance metrics and provide recommendations for campaign improvements.
• Conduct competitive research and track industry trends.
