About The Position

At Furnitureland South, we're seeking two motivated, detail-oriented, and creative individuals to join our marketing team for the summer. This internship provides a comprehensive experience in all aspects of marketing, offering hands-on opportunities to contribute to our brand's digital presence while developing skills in content creation, video production, social media strategy, and marketing analysis.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university majoring in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Design, Statistics, or a related field (rising senior status preferred). Candidates enrolled in a two-year college with relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong Excel skills for analytical tasks.
  • Familiar with graphic design and video editing software such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, or After Effects.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of content creation for brand building and effectively communicating to a specific audience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the performance of marketing efforts across multiple channels, such as social media, digital marketing, and paid search, to provide actionable insights.
  • Shadow and collaborate with various members of the marketing team, gaining exposure to campaign strategy, content creation, and creative processes.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing projects, including brainstorming ideas and contributing to the creation of media and materials.
  • Support the creative marketing manager in strategizing, planning, and implementing innovative campaigns to meet business objectives.
  • Work alongside videographers, graphic designers, and photographers to help produce engaging visual content for digital and print platforms.
  • Participate in hands-on tasks related to content creation, such as editing, designing, and organizing marketing assets.
  • Contribute to projects across various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials, based on team needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the marketing team and enhance learning opportunities.
