About The Position

The Marketing Intern will support the Marketing team at The Frick Collection to build awareness of and engagement with the museum’s programs, exhibitions, library (Frick Art Research Library), and brand through digital communications. He/she/they will report to the Assistant Manager of Marketing and Digital Content and the Assistant Manager of Email Marketing, primarily supporting email marketing and content development efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative museum environment, with opportunities to contribute to both day-to-day marketing operations and longer-term projects. Responsibilities may include building and deploying weekly emails in Mailchimp, drafting and scheduling social media content, and researching trends and best practices across digital platforms within the cultural sector. The intern will also help track social media coverage, conduct influencer research, assist with basic video content needs, and support a variety of team projects as needed. The position is primarily in person, with some flexibility for remote work depending on project needs.

Requirements

  • The Marketing Internship is open to rising seniors and recent college graduates with a demonstrated interest in marketing, digital media, or a related field, particularly within the arts and cultural sector.
  • The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, with a creative and strategic mindset and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position and, if requested, reasonable accommodation(s) will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship.
  • Physical requirements are comparable to most office roles.
  • Ability to interact in-person with colleagues and the public.
  • Use common office tools and machines (computer, phone).
  • Ability to traverse throughout the office and building(s) both inside and outside of the and visit different levels of the buildings.
  • Ability to travel throughout New York City for enrichment activities.
  • Ability to carry/transport materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
