Position Overview: The Marketing Intern will assist with proposal preparation, resume updates, marketing production tasks, event coordination, and social media support. This role is ideal for a Junior or Senior undergraduate student looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry. Opportunity for Position Location: Sacramento (this is an in-office position, working closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator)
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior undergraduate (Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or related field preferred; other majors welcome with interest in A/E/C industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Commitment to S+B James Construction core values
- Exhibits composure under pressure with ability to adapt effectively to frequent changes and unforeseen delays
- Strong ability to achieve results, take initiative, and collaboratively work with a team
- Attention to detail and accountability to projects assigned
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign
- Interest in construction, development, or the A/E/C industry
- Previous internship or academic project experience in marketing
Responsibilities
- Proposal & Document Support Update and format master resumes and project sheets using Adobe InDesign
- Assist with proposal preparation and document assembly
- Proofread documents for clarity, grammar, and brand consistency
- Marketing Production & Creative Support Assist with social media content creation and scheduling
- Support updates to marketing collateral and templates
- Help organize and maintain project photography libraries
- Provide basic layout support in Adobe InDesign (as applicable)
- Event & Administrative Support Assist with coordination on internal and external events
- Support marketing research and data entry
- Maintain organized CRM and marketing resource files
- Participate in marketing team meetings and support ad-hoc requests
