About The Position

Kayne Anderson Rudnick, headquartered in Los Angeles, is a well-respected wealth and asset management firm that manages around $65 billion in assets and employs more than 135 people across the United States. Established in 1984, KAR began by managing John Anderson’s family assets but gradually expanded its services to include relatives, friends, and eventually a wide range of clients—including high net-worth individuals, public organizations, corporations, endowments, and foundations. Today, the company operates as an affiliate of Virtus Investment Partners, a Hartford, Connecticut-based multi-boutique investment management firm. KAR’s internship program is an opportunity for top students to gain relevant work experience in various aspects of the Financial Services industry. Kayne Anderson Rudnick is seeing a highly motivated undergraduate intern to join our Marketing team. This opportunity will be 8-10 weeks and will be in our Los Angeles office.

Requirements

  • Currently a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in marketing and digital media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in or experience with artificial intelligence technologies, especially as applied to marketing or workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Video Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging video content, including “Day in the Life” videos and for holidays such as Halloween and Financial Awareness Day, creatively tying them to the financial services industry and financial literacy.
  • Social Media Marketing: Conduct research on competitor ads and social media activity, analyze and compare findings, and assist in drafting content for LinkedIn posts.
  • Administrative Tasks: Organize marketing files, folders, and shared assets to support team efficiency, and document company events through photos and videos. Assist with conducting periodic refresh audits of existing website and thought leadership content by reviewing publish dates, maintaining refresh lists, and flagging articles that may require updates or archiving.
  • Image Library: Collect and organize images for website and social media use.
  • Microsoft Copilot Agent Testing: Interns will help test and develop Copilot agents aimed at improving the efficiency of marketing tasks. The focus is on exploring ways these agents can streamline workflows and support the team’s initiatives.
  • Campaign tracking support.
  • Competitor and market research.
