About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Vice President - Marketing, the Marketing Intern will support the Marketing team in executing various initiatives that promote the bank's services, enhance brand visibility, and engage with customers across multiple channels. The intern will gain practical experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, market research, and event coordination, all while contributing to the department's ongoing projects and objectives. Consistently upholds the Bank's mission, culture, and core values in all responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field of study (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with marketing software tools.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and digital marketing principles.
  • Strong interest in banking and financial services.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, showing initiative and eagerness to learn.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) or graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) and basic SEO principles.
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in marketing or communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital platforms (website, social media, email) and offline channels (print materials, events).
  • Contribute to brainstorming and creative discussions, providing input on campaign strategies.
  • Create and edit content for marketing materials, including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and brochures.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all materials and adherence to the bank's brand guidelines.
  • Support the bank's social media strategy by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and tracking metrics for performance analysis.
  • Monitor social media trends and provide recommendations to enhance engagement.
  • Conduct research to support marketing strategies, including competitor analysis and customer insights.
  • Analyze marketing data to assess campaign effectiveness, customer preferences, and market trends, providing actionable insights.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating events, webinars, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Help with event logistics, including promotional materials, coordination, and attendee communications.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the marketing team, including organizing files, maintaining databases, and preparing presentations or reports.
