The Marketing Events Manager at Sandia Resort and Casino is responsible for overseeing the preparation and execution of various marketing promotions and entertainment events. This role involves collaborating closely with the Database Marketing Manager to prepare monthly promotion submissions, including Proforma/Postformas and other necessary data for the Sandia Tribal Gaming Commission (STGC) approvals. The Marketing Events Manager will direct the Players Club team in executing promotions and assist the Marketing Director in all aspects of casino entertainment. This includes researching, evaluating, and presenting entertainment opportunities for scheduling in various venues such as the amphitheater, lounge, and ballrooms, ensuring that all activities remain within budget. Additionally, the manager will assist with contracts, coordinate security, concessions, ushers, and the advancement of all shows, ensuring that operational details for marketing special events are meticulously planned and executed. In terms of promotions, the Marketing Events Manager will assist in the organization’s marketing, advertising, and promotional activities across print, electronic, and direct mail channels. This includes working with the marketing manager on copywriting, design, layout, and production of direct mail materials. The manager will supervise promotional drawings and activities, monitor staff performance to ensure high guest service standards, and assist with corporate communications programs to keep team members informed about current promotions and events. For entertainment, the manager will be responsible for booking entertainment in the resort's 4,400-seat amphitheater, casino lounge, and 1,000-seat bingo hall, as well as ballrooms. This includes coordinating production elements such as technical aspects, sound, and lighting, monitoring entertainment profitability, and managing entertainment meetings. The role requires excellent communication skills to provide feedback on advertising production and to coordinate various logistical elements such as security and concession booths. The Marketing Events Manager will also perform other duties as assigned, ensuring that all events are executed smoothly and successfully.
