About The Position

As a Marketing Editor within the legal department at The Agora Companies, you will review, analyze, and edit sales copy to ensure our marketing adheres to ever-changing financial and advertising laws. Note: This is not your typical editing job. You will spend much of your time researching current political and financial events, as well as abstract concepts and ideas, to ensure our marketing does not mislead readers. You must be comfortable making decisions in 'gray areas,' often independently. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with copywriters and marketing professionals.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to research and understand complex legal and financial topics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest or background in finance is a plus, but not required.
• Liberal arts majors are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit marketing copy for legal compliance with financial and advertising laws.
