About The Position

The Marketing Director at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas is responsible for developing and implementing the annual integrated marketing and communications plan to support the hotel's business objectives. This role focuses on enhancing market presence, increasing brand loyalty, and driving revenue growth through targeted public relations and marketing campaigns. The Marketing Director will oversee agency budgets, manage media relations, coordinate promotional events, and lead the hotel's marketing strategy across various channels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing or Business.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of marketing experience required.
  • Prior experience marketing a hotel/resort of similar size and market segment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Web research skills and familiarity with major social media platforms required.
  • Basic design capabilities and HTML skills preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage annual agency budgets and plans for public relations, advertising, and online marketing.
  • Plan, research, and coordinate with vendors for marketing materials and internal communications.
  • Provide direction to the public relations agency on media placement goals.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with local, regional, national, and international media.
  • Share media requests with the agency and ensure monitoring of editorial calendars.
  • Develop and update hotel press kits and coordinate press visits.
  • Publicize special events to generate positive awareness and support marketing objectives.
  • Review and approve press releases with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Manage requests for on-property filming and coordinate logistics.
  • Evaluate promotional opportunities and develop partnerships to meet marketing objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with local organizations and hospitality associations.
  • Support community involvement projects and manage in-kind donations.
  • Manage social media strategy and messaging for hotel accounts.
  • Oversee email, digital, and content strategy across channels.
  • Meet weekly with the Director of Sales and Marketing to address business needs.
  • Lead weekly marketing meetings and manage follow-up.
