About The Position

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading and executing all marketing, branding, and communications efforts for GSB. This role owns strategy and hands-on execution across advertising, design, web management, public relations, events, and community engagement. The Marketing Director balances strategy and execution – setting marketing direction aligned with the bank’s goals while also managing day-to-day production, timelines, budgets and approvals. The role requires strong judgement, organization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally with compliance, operations, IT, retail and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Design or a related field
  • 5+ years of marketing experience
  • Proven experience managing Meta and Google advertising platforms
  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Experience managing and editing websites built on WordPress
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate independently and prioritize across multiple initiatives
  • Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and conversion tracking

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the bank’s overall marketing strategy in alignment with growth and organizational goals
  • Lead and manage advertising campaigns across digital, print, social, radio and community channels
  • Design and produce marketing collateral, branch signage, and digital assets
  • Manage and maintain the bank’s website, including page creation, content updates and issue resolution
  • Manage and post to the bank’s social media pages
  • Serve as steward of the bank’s brand, ensuring consistency and quality across all touchpoints
  • Lead public relations, press releases, and key communication
  • Plan and execute sponsorships, community events and branch initiatives
  • Track performance, report results, and continuously improve marketing effectiveness
  • Manage marketing vendors, tools and budgets as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, IT, Compliance, Retail and HR for all marketing needs
