About the position

The Marketing Designer at ILLUME will be a key member of the Creative team, responsible for creating on-brand digital and print visual assets to enhance brand awareness and drive sales across B2B and B2C channels. This role requires a blend of creativity, project management, and collaboration with various internal and external partners to ensure high-quality design execution that aligns with the company's marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design innovative & inspiring digital and print collateral that builds brand awareness and drives sales.
  • Assist and own the creation of digital and print deliverables that bring creative, practical solutions to the table.
  • Design wholesale print catalogs within Brand Guidelines and tight timelines in collaboration with a large team of internal and external partners.
  • Manage design deliverables in a highly organized, intuitive manner within a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage and coordinate print and production of finished work as required to ensure projects get delivered correctly and on time.
  • Ensure original & relevant POV across all points of visual communication.
  • Manage catalog layout from initial design concept to hand-off of final layout to Production, including several rounds of internal routing.
  • Collaborate with photographers, stylists, copywriters, producers, printers, sales and product development to create catalogs for ILLUME brands, licensed, and private-label collections/brands.
  • Direct look, feel, and creation of assets for Company-brand retailer and consumer digital platforms.
  • Ensure seamless messaging and original & relevant POV across all points of communication.
  • Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art, prop, and product arrangement, size, type size, and style.
  • Inform creative direction and visual tone of materials based on concepts from Design team and direction from VP-Creative.
  • Make design format decisions that work within project budgets and align with marketing plans.
  • Work with internal teams & external partners to arrange photoshoots.
  • Attend press checks to ensure proper color matching.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design, marketing design or related field.
  • Experience in catalog production, print design and art direction preferred.
  • Experience in consumer products or lifestyle brands industry preferred.
  • General knowledge of Graphic Design Principles including layout, typography, color theory and branding.
  • Familiarity with print processes and working with vendors for catalog production.
  • Basic understanding of photography principles and editing tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong independent project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines with consistent quality work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external partners and present ideas and work collaboratively, providing clear creative direction.
  • Ability to effectively pivot quickly in response to feedback or changing project requirements.
  • Strong creative ability to envision how design can influence brand perception and drive sales.
