The Marketing Database Administrator position at Zions Bancorporation is focused on managing and maintaining database design and implementation, ensuring data integrity and security. This role is part of an expanding marketing team that is building a dynamic, in-house Creative Studio and innovative Demand Center to transform customer connections.   • Monitor database performance, optimize as needed, and troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures.
  • Ensure data handling practices comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technology teams to identify data requirements and deliver practical, result-driven data solutions.
  • Manage and oversee data storage, transfer, and integration processes.
  • Monitor and ensure consistent and timely processing of data feeds.
  • Administer data access and governance protocols to ensure appropriate individuals have access to the right data securely.
  • Optimize data indexing and query processes to enhance efficiency, reduce processing time, and minimize the impact on downstream systems.
  • Perform data cleanup tasks in a manner that maintains marketing capabilities and avoids miscommunication.
  • A bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in marketing with a focus on banking and/or retail bank products, marketing, or a related role.
  • Proficient in SQL Server, Databricks, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), and Oracle database systems.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and R for advanced data analysis.
  • Experienced in digital marketing, data management, and database marketing principles, with a solid grasp of industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing across diverse channels, including digital, print, experiential, and emerging platforms.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively convey data insights and findings.
