About The Position

The Marketing Data Intern will support the PCG Market Research & Insights team by assisting with data analysis, generative AI workflows, project documentation, and meeting coordination. This role provides hands-on exposure to data-driven marketing processes, analytics tools, and cross-functional collaboration within Sherwin-Williams’ Performance Coatings Group. Additional Information This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113. Availability to work full time (37.5 hours per week) during Summer for at least 10 weeks, and physically present in downtown office 5 days per week. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
  • Must have a high school education or GED
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, teams and/or Outlook)
  • Must have interest or familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • Must have experience or coursework related to data science, analytics, or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher at the time of the internship.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and interest in data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Have an expected graduation date in 2027.
  • Have coursework or experience in project management.
  • Have exposure to SQL, Python, or R.
  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or data science.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, clean, and prepare datasets for internal reporting and research initiatives.
  • Assist in the development, testing, and documentation of generative AI tools and workflows.
  • Participate in project and team meetings, documenting key discussion points, decisions, and next steps.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, templates, and process materials.
  • Provide timely status updates to the PCG Market Research & Insights team and other stakeholders.
