About The Position

Under direction, the Marketing Coordinator serves as the firm’s lead contact for conferences, while also providing flexible support for the rest of the Marketing Department’s activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, English, or other related field.
  • 3+ plus years of relevant work experience; law firm or other professional services experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage social media sites.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook/Word/Excel/Power Point; experience with email marketing software, webinar software, and/or the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop) a plus.
  • Must be able to prioritize competing needs, meet tight deadlines, and work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, an enthusiastic personality, and be comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all aspects of the firm’s participation in events and conferences, including: Driving the internal approval process with business unit leaders Maintaining detailed firm events calendar Developing and implementing pre- and post- event strategy Evaluating and reporting on event results Registrations and travel assistance Providing recommendations for improvement Researching new opportunities for events and conferences to attend
  • Assists in creating event-related advertising and marketing collateral, including invitations, emails, fliers, and signage.
  • Researches and purchases a robust and organized selection of promotional items, including event signage and exhibit materials.
  • Maintains inventory system for all promotional items, event signage, and exhibit materials, and provides regular status reports.
  • Responsible for adhering to firm policies on contests and sweepstakes, and managing the prize fulfillment process for all event giveaways.
  • Builds and enhances online relationships with affiliates and clients, by liking, sharing, and commenting on their content on behalf of the firm.
  • Fulfills requests for pitches, proposals, PowerPoint presentations/speaking engagements, and other client-facing materials, utilizing existing content and, when needed, drafting new content. Responsible for tracking activity, deadlines, and follow-up.
  • Drafts content, including but not limited to client pitches/presentations, marketing collateral, social media, press releases, attorney biographies, speaking engagements, and announcements.
  • Edits and maintains speaking engagements and event items for all attorney bios (print and web).
  • Assists in hosting and facilitating firm teleconferences and webinars.
  • Leads the new attorney/director on-boarding and off-boarding process, including ordering business cards, scheduling headshots, creating content and images for bios, and providing LinkedIn assistance.
  • Researches and compiles market research to aid in the development of marketing plans, presentations, and proposals.
  • Manages and maintains data and reports, and creates new reports as directed.
  • Coordinates client entertainment, including event tickets, dining, and travel. Performs tracking activity and follow-up.
  • Completes surveys involving quantitative and qualitative inquiries from a variety of news and trade publications and manage the firm’s listings in legal and other directories.
  • Serves as marketing department primary contact/client service point for internal and external department queries.
  • Maintains accurate records for marketing department expenses, prepares check requests for approval, and reconciles credit card.
  • Complete all required training applicable to this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
