About The Position

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) is nationally ranked among the Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation by U.S. News and World Report for 2024-2025 and the Best Rehabilitation Hospital in Indiana for the third year in a row. RHI provides high quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services to those facing life-changing injuries or illness. We specialize in the areas of brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and complex medical conditions. We offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to patients 15 years of age and older. SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF JOB Under management's direction, the Marketing Coordinator performs marketing functions and handles assigned administrative details for the Department. Performs a variety of tasks with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, maturity, strong organizational skills, and a working knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures, as well as public relations.
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills needed for hospital tours.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle discretionary information.
  • This position requires a strong foundation in computer use and software programs, and the ability to perform detailed work with accuracy.
  • Must be able to work from both specific detail and concept with demonstrable mastery of journalistic skill.
  • Proficiency required in Word, Publisher, and Excel, Adobe PS, AI, etc.
  • Direct experience in public relations or marketing/sales is required, with a health care focus preferred.
  • Bachelors' Degree in any field required, Public Relations or Marketing degree preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual capability (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, edits, lays out, and/or writes for press releases, wall of fame, flyers, promotional items, RHI's weekly and special newsletters, brochures, and advertisements using desktop publishing software.
  • Responsible for taking on a variety of tasks in relation to photography and social media platforms that allow for the successful completion of planned RHI programs. These events include special presentations, the Patients of the Year celebration, promotional functions, anniversary-related activities, National Rehabilitation Week celebrations, etc.
  • Maintains and updates website and other social media sites run by RHI (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) to create a concise message that is effective in increasing traffic and therefore business for inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Compiles and processes statistical information and data for the preparation of reports and composes material within the scope of responsibility
  • Assists in tracking and analyzing existing marketing campaigns and reports on results, and coordinates market research studies.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.
