About The Position

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support the Marketing and Growth teams across three focused areas: marketing automation migration, campaign execution, and marketing operations (data, reporting, and tools). This role will support the transition from ActiveCampaign to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, assist with data-driven campaign execution, and contribute to marketing operations through reporting, analytics, and emerging AI-enabled tools. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in marketing operations, systems, analytics, and B2B healthcare growth strategy. This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a remote environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with comfort working in spreadsheets and marketing tools
  • Interest in healthcare, B2B marketing, or growth marketing
  • Experience with the MS Office suite of products

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Experience supporting email campaigns or digital marketing initiatives
  • Understanding of segmentation, nurture logic, and campaign workflows
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online or digital content repositories
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Event coordination experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with migration from ActiveCampaign to Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Support data cleansing, list validation, and field mapping
  • QA email builds, workflows, and automation logic
  • Help maintain data accuracy and system integrity during transition
  • Assist with audience segmentation and target list development (including TPAs, Brokers, and Small Health Plans)
  • Support execution of nurture and drip campaigns
  • Clean, prepare, and validate contact lists
  • Track and report basic campaign performance metrics
  • Support event-related campaigns and logistics for conferences/events
  • Support development and maintenance of marketing dashboards and KPI tracking
  • Assist with campaign performance reporting and data analysis
  • Help manage and organize marketing data across platforms (CRM, marketing automation tools)
  • Identify data gaps and support ongoing data quality improvements
  • Leverage AI tools to support content drafting, campaign optimization, data analysis, and workflow efficiency
  • Assist in documenting marketing processes, workflows, and best practices
