About The Position

The Marketing Coordinator II - Digital Marketing at Horseshoe Bay Resort is responsible for creating and executing a results-driven social media strategy aimed at increasing resort awareness and guest stays. This role involves managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, and maintaining the resort's online presence across various platforms. The coordinator will also assist in developing influencer marketing strategies and managing the resort's website and mobile app.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of marketing and content creation experience, preferably in the hotel/resort industry.
  • Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent language, spelling, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress, HTML, and email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and self-direct in completing assignments.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the hotel/resort/guest service industry.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a results-driven social media strategy to promote the resort.
  • Manage social media editorial calendar for multiple resort accounts across all platforms.
  • Schedule posts and manage community engagement on social media channels.
  • Write clear and compelling copy that reflects the brand's voice and values.
  • Capture and curate engaging content for social media distribution.
  • Create digital assets including photography and video editing.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key social media metrics.
  • Assist in the development of social media influencer marketing strategy.
  • Manage the resort's online presence on platforms like Google and Trip Advisor.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages and inquiries.
  • Assist with the creation of digital assets for email campaigns.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the resort website and mobile app.
  • Track competitive properties and evaluate guest activities and promotional offers.
