VISIT Milwaukee offers internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students to gain firsthand experience in the destination marketing industry. Internships are offered for the benefit of the student and will focus on skill development and professional growth. A successful internship depends greatly on the effort and work ethic put forth by the intern. Interns will become part of the VISIT Milwaukee team, and as such are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Interns will be expected to complete their assignments in order to receive maximum educational and professional benefits from the internship experience. INTERNSHIP SUMMARY: The Marketing & Content Intern plays a hands-on role in supporting Visit Milwaukee’s marketing operations, with a strong emphasis on website updates and ongoing digital maintenance to ensure content remains current, accurate, and aligned with brand standards. This role also contributes to the development and execution of social media content as needed, helping to amplify Milwaukee’s voice across platforms. In addition, the intern supports marketing efforts tied to Meetings and Conventions, assisting in the promotion of Milwaukee as a premier destination for group business. Responsibilities include contributing to email marketing initiatives, such as newsletter development and campaign execution, as well as providing planning and on-the-ground support for special events. Working closely with the marketing team, the intern may also assist with a range of creative and content-driven projects that support organizational priorities, ensuring consistency and quality across digital and physical touchpoints.
