As part of the GF Building Flow Solutions Americas Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for content development and execution in the form of blogs, case studies, and paid media activations to support business goals. This role assists with content development for various internal and external communications as needed. Specific work includes: ensuring consistent brand voice across channels; supporting sales initiatives with engaging content; collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment on projects; meeting project and deliverable deadlines; drafting key messages and conceptualizing layouts for digital and offline channels; as well as gathering data to determine content effectiveness. Works daily with Corporate Communications Manager; Product Marketing Managers; Digital Marketing team & vendors; Director of Marketing & Communications; Technical and Marketing Content Managers; Channel Marketing; Regulatory; Sustainability; Sales and agency partners. This role is considered a HYBRID position with periodic onsite work at our headquarters in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent degree.
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience.
  • Prior experience in Marketing and/or Communications is required.
  • Excellent written, organizational, project planning, and time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills with a journalistic mindset.
  • Must use an effective and approachable communication style to engage others and build credibility and rapport.
  • Must be self-starter, goal oriented, positive attitude, and take initiative to achieve objectives.
  • Must be a strong team player.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and gain approval of key messages and content, including compelling blogs and case studies while collaborating cross-functionally internally and externally.
  • Partner with Marketing sub-functions and subject matter experts to identify content needs and support integrated campaigns.
  • Manage and execute annual paid media plan, including content development, adhering to deadlines, and obtaining approval from key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external vendors supplying paid media/brand execution, video, and digital/print content services.
  • Provide content generation support for various internal and external communication needs.
  • Seek out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.
