About The Position

This established internship provides real-world experience working directly with independent insurance agency partners around the country within the Marketing Communications Department. The intern will gain professional verbal and written communication skills, data analysis skills using Excel, PowerBI, and CoPilot, confidence in collaborating with diverse people, and knowledge of fundamental principles of insurance, including commercial auto and property, as well as Marketing Department operations.

Requirements

• Sophomore or Junior Marketing or business major and maintain full-time course load during internship
• Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Excel and Word
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent phone skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Communicate with prospective agents via telephone to identify their interest in an appointment with BHHC
• Craft marketing messages to inform and sell prospective agents on benefits of partnering with BHHC
• Use internal data to understand market, BHHC product offering, and potential areas of growth
• Acquire market intelligence via phone conversations with prospective agents, team meetings, interface with Field Marketing Representatives, and industry publications.
• Assist Agency Unit with application process and follow up with prospective agencies for completeness
• Perform other marketing duties as assigned.
