About The Position

The Salesforce Digital Account Executive for Local Government is a key role focused on driving sales of the Salesforce Marketing technology stack. This position requires a subject matter expert who can engage with Local Government prospects and customers, providing tailored marketing platform solutions that enhance customer journeys. The role involves both collaboration with an Account Team and individual sales efforts, emphasizing self-generated opportunities and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of full cycle Enterprise software or technology sales experience.
  • Experience selling Marketing technology is a plus.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Proven track record in account management, preferably selling to Federal Civilian, State and Local, and/or Education.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as required.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert on how Local Government leverages Salesforce Marketing solutions.
  • Empower and enable the broader Account team on Salesforce Marketing technology.
  • Collaborate with Account and Territory teams to identify target accounts.
  • Create and drive revenue within a specified region and/or list of named accounts.
  • Generate business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and prospecting.
  • Own the sales cycle for the entire Salesforce Marketing technology stack, including lead generation and deal closure.
  • Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking and associations.
  • Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting.
  • Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Be a team player.
