Position Title Marketing and Social Media Student Worker Posting Number Division Provost & VP for Student Experience Department Provost & Student Experience (AA) Location Erie, Pa Position Summary The Marketing & Social Media Student Worker will assist the Our West Bayfront team with various marketing, outreach, and social media tasks to enhance the organization's presence and engagement within the Erie community. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in digital marketing, community outreach, and public relations, providing an opportunity for the student to develop their professional skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. Required Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study as part of your financial aid package. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and basic understanding of how they function for marketing and community engagement. * Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs. * Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, etc.) required. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience managing social media or creating content for digital platforms. * Experience or coursework in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field. * Knowledge of Google Analytics or social media analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics). * Interest in local community development and public service. Physical Demands The Student Worker must be able to lift items up to 25 lbs or more, stand for long periods of time, and converse with a diverse population of neighbors and community members.
