About The Position

The Marketing and Creative Services Assistant will support the Athletics Marketing Department at California State University, Long Beach, by assisting with day-to-day operations and game-day logistics. This role involves a variety of administrative and secretarial tasks, contributing to marketing plans, social media coordination, and budget management.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to one year of administrative support experience required.
  • Prior NCAA Division I marketing and promotion experience in collegiate or professional athletics preferred.
  • Valid CA Driver's License required.

  • Ability to develop ongoing relationships with season ticket holders, local community, and donors.
  • Ability to guide others in policy and procedures in support of the athletics department and the university.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with game-day operations, including setup, promotions, and coordination with event staff.
  • Assist in coordinating social media schedules and updates, ensuring consistent content aligned with the marketing strategy.
  • Contribute to sport-specific marketing plans and game-day promotions.
  • Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and inventory management.
