About The Position

The Marketing and Communications Strategist for Service Lines and Departments serves as a key liaison between client service lines and the Marketing and Communications department. This role focuses on developing and executing marketing plans aligned with the health system's strategic priorities and client goals, ensuring effective communication and measurable results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is required.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably in health care marketing.
  • Strong writing and editing skills are required.
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Agency or similar account management experience is preferred.
  • Certification in integrated marketing communications, strategic marketing, or a related program is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with assigned Client leaders to establish goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Conduct strategic marketing and communication processes, including situational analyses and ideation sessions with MarCom members.
  • Develop marketing and communications plans for Client, including creative brief execution for planned and unplanned requests.
  • Create and execute focused, results-oriented integrated marketing and communications programs on behalf of departmental clients.
  • Counsel Client and project teams on marketing and communications strategies to optimize audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with MarCom colleagues for creative, production, media, digital, event, research, and analytics support.
  • Clearly communicate client marketing objectives to all stakeholders and provide access to marketing process documents.
  • Promote the brand by embodying Akron Children's voice and culture, and understanding the broader health care industry.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies for communicating with targeted audiences to achieve organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on marketing and communication trends through continuing education and professional organizations.
