About The Position

Academy of Holy Angels Catholic High School seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing and Communication Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support AHA's efforts to strengthen the school's brand. This person takes a lead role in AHA publications, marketing materials, website and social media content, press releases, and other communications to properly support and reflect the school's strategic mission and goals. Through a comprehensive communications plan, the Marketing/Communications Specialist collaborates with members of the advancement team to support enrollment and development efforts and increase the overall number of stakeholders who contribute to the mission. This position will be full-time during the school year and part-time in the summer.

Requirements

  • A commitment to Catholic education.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, courtesy, diplomacy, and tact with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite products, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; gain proficiency in the school's database systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with design programs.
  • Knowledge of information systems applicable to marketing.
  • Ability to train and direct staff and volunteers in marketing.
  • Understanding web, social media, and marketing best practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with strategic focus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement marketing/communications strategy in collaboration with the President and Director of Advancement.
  • Design and produce print and digital content, including newsletters, flyers, brochures, and social media graphics.
  • Write, edit, and distribute general and targeted communications, including weekly and annual e-newsletters.
  • Manage and create social media and blog content, including photo and video posts aligned with advancement goals.
  • Track and analyze social media performance to optimize engagement and reach.
  • Capture photos and video at key campus events to support promotional content and storytelling.
  • Support admissions efforts by evaluating and redesigning marketing collateral and advertising strategies.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications for events, campaigns, and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Chair the Marketing Committee.
  • Support website accuracy through collaboration with the web team.
  • Create press releases and cultivate media relationships to maintain strong public relations.
  • Monitor and manage marketing budgets in line with department guidelines.
  • Design and distribute surveys as needed to gather feedback and insights.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to Advancement leadership and relevant committees.
  • Complete trainings as required and uphold Archdiocesan compliance standards.

Benefits

  • Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $58,000
