About The Position

Welcome to the job description for the Marketing and Communications Specialist. The Marketing Specialist will assist with promotional efforts to spread awareness about CMFCAA's services and events, as well a share important stories and testimonials with the community. The main duties include video design, assisting in building the monthly newsletter, and preparing promotional materials and presentations to educate the public about CMFCAA. Responsibilities include photography and videography, graphic design for social media and print materials, as well as writing and editing tasks.

Requirements

  • BS in Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, Business, Media or Public Relations, or comparable field
  • Possess a compelling portfolio with projects showcasing skills
  • Experience with Adobe Suite
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Background checks are required

Responsibilities

  • Take professional photos and video of events
  • Edit photos and videos post event to ensure they meet agency’s standards for quality, clarity, and visual appeal
  • Capture visually appealing that highlight key moments and activities
  • Use Adobe Premiere to create visually compelling videos for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Utilize Adobe’s tools for editing clips to create smooth and cohesive storytelling
  • Design digital materials as well as print materials for our newsletters and magazines
  • Write, edit, and proofread materials for accuracy
  • Work with staff and external partners on projects and tickets
  • Complete requests promptly and meet the requestor's satisfaction
  • Collaborate to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media, and events
  • Promote agency events through community calendars
  • Contribute to writing and editing of internal and external newsletters
  • Gather stories/testimonials from programs to include in newsletters
  • Maintain marketing schedules and deadlines
