About The Position

In this role, you will provide overall marketing support to the communication strategy aligned with the park’s mission and strategic vision while supporting special initiatives, programs, and events. This role primarily focuses on digital technology (web, social media, email, mobile, digital advertising, etc.) but also involves other mediums, including print.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in professional writing, communications, marketing, advertising, or graphic design.
  • 2or more years of experience in marketing and communications
  • Familiarity/use of website content management systems
  • Digital analytics and improvements made from lessons learned
  • Demonstrated written ability to simplify complex information for general audience understanding
  • Attention to detail and accuracyareessential in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills; able to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively, solving problems with optimism and initiative.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a startup nonprofit environment, willing to take on tasks outside the typical job description as part of a small, dynamic team.
  • Strong project manager with the ability to juggle multiple tasks while collaborating across all levels of staff and external partners.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating undefined tasks, with a proactive approach to reaching goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing/Communications team to implement a communications plan targeting critical external and internal stakeholders, including donors, visitors, local nonprofits, foundations, thegeneral public, board members, and staff. All communications efforts must effectively tell Kaleidoscope Park’s story.
  • Inspire and engage Kaleidoscope Park’s audiences through compelling storytelling across various media, including the website, social media, email newsletters, annual reports, printed materials, and event invitations.
  • Work closely withCommunitiesFoundation of Texas (CFT) toalign onevents, programming, and other initiatives.
  • Stay informed of relevant trends and best practices in communications and marketing.
  • Strategize withKPFteamon how best to attract, reach, and motivate diverse audiences, using data-driven decision-making and impactful storytelling.
  • Oversee Kaleidoscope Park’s website, ensuring content is up-to-date, engaging, and reflective of the park’s mission.
  • Lead improvements to Kaleidoscope Park’s digital platforms tooptimizethe user experience, making it easier for visitors, donors, and stakeholders to engage with the park and its programming.
  • Manage Google Analytics, Google Ad Grants, and paid remarketing campaigns tomonitorand analyze campaign performance and ROI.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive traffic to the Kaleidoscope Park website, including improving SEO performance.
  • Identifyand resolve website issues as they arise, working closely with IT and other teams to improve the functionality and user experience of Kaleidoscope Park’s digital properties.
  • Lead and execute all email marketing efforts for Kaleidoscope Park, including creating and sending newsletters, event promotions, and park updates. Ensure all communications are aligned with the park’s mission and community engagement goals.
  • Track and analyze engagement across Kaleidoscope Park’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Execute digital marketing campaigns, including web page/landing page development, SEO strategies, email campaigns, social media outreach, video content, and paid search.
  • Manage and export contacts from the CRM system to email marketing platforms for tailored communication, ensuring messages reach theappropriate audiences.
  • Oversee the creation, formatting, uploading, and posting of various marketing materials, including blogs, event updates, research studies, annual reports, and presentations.
  • Create and manage an integrated communications calendar for Kaleidoscope Park.
  • Develop engaging content that aligns with Kaleidoscope Park’s brand and mission. This includes writing blog posts, feature stories, event highlights, and park updates.
  • Manage the park's internal email communications, including newsletters and updates.
  • Write and distribute press releases to media outlets, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging about Kaleidoscope Park’s events, programs, and initiatives.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for park events, including taking photos, live social media updates, andassistingwith eventlogisticssuch as A/V coordination.
  • Assist with media relations and work to secure press coverage for park events and initiatives.
  • Provideadditionalmarketing support, including budget management, collaboration with external partners, and other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the park's marketing efforts.
  • Design visual assets for marketing materials, invitations, web graphics, and event promotions (both digital and print) using Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.
  • Create engaging graphics for email newsletters, website updates, social media posts, and more.
  • Ensure all designs align with Kaleidoscope Park’s brand and mission,maintainingconsistent visual identity across platforms.
  • Provide design support for internal and external communications, events, and promotional materials.
