About The Position

The College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University is seeking a Social Media Coordinator and Marketing Analyst to manage program marketing and social media content distribution. This role involves overseeing paid social media campaigns, enhancing social media channels, and supporting marketing and enrollment management efforts. The position requires a hybrid work schedule with three days on-site per week and focuses on creating engaging content, utilizing analytics, and collaborating with a dynamic team to promote the college's programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Telecommunications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in public relations, media relations, marketing, or advertising.
  • Experience managing content for social media channels.
  • Proficiency with industry tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social media management tools.
  • Strong understanding of paid social media and digital marketing channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns across multiple media platforms including paid search, display, video, and social media.
  • Conduct keyword research and manage all aspects of campaign configuration, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Establish and implement monitoring protocols to evaluate social media communications and recommend adjustments based on insights.
  • Develop, organize, and publish engaging content across ComArtSci's social media platforms.
  • Provide daily support and management for @MSUComArtSci accounts on various platforms.
  • Utilize short-form video content to leverage current social media trends and enhance audience engagement.
  • Use Sprinklr to publish social media content with appropriate analytics tags for tracking and measurement.
  • Foster community engagement by responding to comments, tags, and direct messages.
  • Strengthen coordination with social media partners across the college and university.
  • Generate and contribute innovative ideas for ComArtSci's social media presence.
