About The Position

The Market Specialist for Diageo's Non-Alcoholic Brands (DNAB) portfolio is responsible for managing distributor relationships and driving sales growth in both on and off-premise venues. This field-based role focuses on executing promotional activities, ensuring effective merchandising, and developing strong relationships with venue owners and managers. The Market Specialist will analyze sales data, participate in meetings to present market insights, and implement sales strategies to achieve targets while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or distribution management within FMCG or beverage industry.
  • Proven track record in managing distributor relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and coordinate with wholesalers and distributors.
  • Self-starter with strong data-driven selling strategies and expertise in POS data.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the beverage industry specifically related to non-alcoholic products.
  • Familiarity with IRI and Chain-related category data.
  • Strong presentation skills for communicating with various levels of leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage distributor execution through market visits and ride alongs to address issues and identify opportunities.
  • Act as the primary contact for distributors, resolving concerns and ensuring effective communication.
  • Work towards achieving Sales Metrics KPIs for excellence in execution.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for DNAB brand growth.
  • Participate in GSM and QBR meetings, presenting market data to leadership.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for on- and off-premise channels.
  • Execute sales plans in alignment with brand objectives and distributor partnerships.
  • Educate and build relationships with bartenders and front-line representatives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product distribution and visibility in key accounts.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships in the local market.
  • Build relationships with other Diageo commercial stakeholders to amplify brand presence.
  • Conduct market analysis and prepare reports on campaign performance and competitor activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of distributor activities and results.
  • Manage budgets related to distribution initiatives, tracking expenses for cost-effectiveness.
