At DTCC, we are committed to innovation in the financial markets and to fostering a supportive environment for our employees. The Financial Risk and Governance (FR&G) team plays a crucial role in identifying, measuring, monitoring, and controlling market, liquidity, and stress testing risks associated with the clearing and settlement processes. This team operates under the authority of the Board and senior management, ensuring that risks are managed within defined tolerances. The FR&G team collaborates closely with Quantitative Risk Management and Counterparty Credit Risk teams to maintain a comprehensive approach to financial risk management, serving as an effective second line of defense. The primary mission of FR&G includes maintaining sufficient collateral to cover potential losses from defaulting members, ensuring liquidity resources are available for transaction settlements, and continuously improving policies and procedures for member surveillance. The Market Risk team for the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) is responsible for monitoring daily margin calculations and managing market and liquidity risk exposures arising from trade execution and settlement activities. This role also involves driving new business initiatives, overseeing risk systems design, and ensuring compliance with Risk Management policies. As a leader in this role, you will guide a team of equity market risk associates and analysts, ensuring the quality and timeliness of their work. You will proactively identify changes in market risk exposures and provide solutions to mitigate these risks. Additionally, you will monitor market conditions and economic trends to anticipate potential risks and their impact on members' margin requirements. Your responsibilities will also include managing issues from internal audits and regulatory exams, collaborating with customers to develop remediation plans, and working on projects to enhance processes and mitigate emerging risks.
