About The Position

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Market Research Interns for our Summer 2026 intern program out of our Asheville, NC Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2026 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Business, Marketing, HR, Finance, Social Sciences, Environmental, or related field
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, detail oriented person
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Willingness to contribute ideas and offer opinions
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Miro is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements, research and problem solving, and system support
• Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation
• Conduct market research on advanced energy competitors and alternative utility industry solutions
• Analyze trends in utility strategy, energy management, and efficiency in programs to identify key opportunities for advanced energy
• Collect, organize, and synthesize large amounts of data into clear, actionable insights
• Conduct in person interviews internally and externally
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
