About The Position

OUC – The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Marketing & New Products division. The OUC Internship Program is dedicated to providing students with real-world, hands-on experience by partnering with energy leaders and experienced professionals, while bringing new and out-of-the-box perspectives and ideas that are essential for fostering the creativity and growth of any business. OUC’s internship program provides emerging talent with an immersive view of the utility industry through on-the-job training, educational sessions, self-paced learning courses, and individual or team projects. We are looking for a Market Research intern. During this internship, you will partner with the Market Strategy, Research & Insights team. You will be involved in:

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program.
  • Academic status of Sophomore or above
  • Program of study: Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Political Science or similar degrees
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule during May 18, 2026, through August 14, 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Excel skills: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, graphing, basic stats
  • Basic data analysis: profiling, trend analysis, table joins, segmentation
  • Experience with Power BI, SPSS, Qlik, or other analytics tools
  • Strong research, writing, quantitative, and teamwork skills
  • Proactive, creative, and able to make data-driven recommendations

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing performance data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and developing actionable, data-driven recommendations.
  • Collecting and validating data from multiple sources, including market research, industry trends, customer satisfaction metrics, surveys, and focus groups.
  • Preparing, verifying, and presenting dashboards, visualizations, and reports, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to discuss insights, analyses, and recommendations that support informed decision-making across the organization.
