The Market Research Analyst provides technical, analytical, statistical, and consulting analysis for market research activities, focusing on mandated surveys (CAHPS, HOS, QHP, MCAHPS) and macro-level analysis. The role collaborates with the CX Team, Performance Data Analytics, and Competitive Intelligence to deliver population-level insights and support enterprise-wide initiatives. This position is eligible to work onsite, remote or hybrid (9 or more days a month on site) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

  • Lead the annual completion of mandated large-scale research surveys (CAHPS, MCAHPS, QHP, HOS) and other regulatory or strategic surveys, ensuring all deliverables meet federal, state, and organizational standards for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Maintain data integrity and uphold compliance with regulatory standards throughout all phases of research, from data collection and processing to reporting and archiving.
  • Design and execute research studies that deliver timely, statistically robust insights to support organizational planning, regulatory reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Translate research results into clear, impactful reports and presentations for teams and senior management, tailoring content to diverse audiences and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, briefings, white papers, and other communications that leverage data visualization and storytelling to drive understanding and action.
  • Collaborate with the CX Team to integrate experience-driven feedback and journey analytics into research outputs, supporting continuous improvement in member and employee experience.
  • Partner with Performance Data Analytics to ensure research findings are integrated into dashboards and reporting platforms, enabling real-time access to actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Competitive Intelligence to contextualize internal research with external market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, supporting enterprise-wide strategic alignment.
  • Partner with the Manager of Research and Insights to manage and supervise external research vendors, overseeing project scoping, contract negotiation, quality assurance, and integration of vendor deliverables into internal research workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable growth opportunities.
  • Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, relevant research tools (including Qualtrics), and industry data sources.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to act in a consultative role with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, briefings, white papers, and other communications in a compelling, visually driven, and informative manner.
  • Broad thinker with the ability to relate business trends to enterprise strategies and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulatory requirements and member experience metrics.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable research insights for strategic recommendations and reporting.
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis such as regression, correlation, and conjoint analysis.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel marketing workflows, customer experience analytics, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, research, marketing, psychology, sociology, or a related field preferred.
  • In lieu of degree, an additional five years of progressive, relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in member/customer-focused market research, marketing, or consulting, including practical experience in primary research and analysis using a variety of methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, text, or business intelligence) required.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting research insights through storytelling, data visualizations, and professional deck development tailored to diverse audiences required.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and mandated survey administration preferred.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams preferred.
  • Experience with Qualtrics or Adobe Workfront preferred.
