About The Position

The Market President, Missouri/Kansas is responsible for senior level leadership, operational performance, and strategic growth across Freeman Health’s largest and most complex market. This role ensures alignment with enterprise strategy while driving market-specific execution across hospitals, ambulatory services, and physician enterprise. This leader serves as the senior leader accountable for performance, culture, and community impact across Missouri and Kansas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8-12+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
  • Experience leading multi-site, multi-state operations preferred
  • Strong financial, operational, and physician alignment expertise

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, or related) strongly preferred
  • FACHE Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute system strategy across the MO/KS market, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities
  • Identify growth opportunities including service line expansion, partnerships, and access strategies
  • Lead integration across hospitals, clinics, and outpatient services
  • Accountable for market-level performance including: Quality and patient safety, Financial outcomes (full P&L responsibility, margin, cost, productivity), Throughput, access, and patient experience
  • Drive standardization and performance improvement initiatives
  • Partner with CMO, CNO, and ambulatory leadership to: Strengthen employed physician (and independent) relationships, Ensure clinical quality and service line growth, Advance care models and population health
  • Collaborate with CMO, CNO to drive quality and clinical outcomes
  • Reinforce Freeman’s culture and values in a growing market
  • Build strong local leadership infrastructure
  • Drive engagement, accountability, and high-performance behaviors
  • Build strong leadership teams and succession pipelines
  • Serve as the primary executive representative across Missouri and Kansas communities
  • Build relationships with: Community leaders, Employers, Academic and regional partners and Serve on Regional Boards
