About The Position

Are you looking for an internship that provides real life experience? Phoenix Contact’s IMA AI Corporate Management Team is looking for a Market Potential Intern to assist with strategic marketing across new and current accounts. Our Spring interns work part time. The intern has the possibility to continue the internship into Summer and Fall 2026. What does a typical day look like? Meet with the Sales, ABS, or AEP teams to clarify what markets or accounts needing profiling. Participate in strategic sessions assessing new and existing markets. Work with Product Marketing on competitive snapshots for upcoming reviews. Present findings in short read-outs to leadership. Conduct desk research on markets, competitors, and customer segments. Build TAM/PAM models using market reports and internal sales data. Create insight-rich summaries and decision-support slides. Validate data alignment between Salesforce, and internal references What makes this internship unique? You’ll be doing real competitive intelligence, not theoretical work. Requirements

  • Economics/Market research, Business Intelligence or Industrial Engineering Major
  • Coursework in Market Analysis, Competitive Strategy, Micro/Macroeconomics
  • Ability to perform TAM/PAM/SAM sizing
  • Strong research and analytical writing skills
  • Experience using market intelligence platforms (ZoomInfo, Statista, IBISWorld)
  • Familiarity with CRM data, segmentation, trend identification
  • Must be a current college student
  • Look at a computer screen for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)
  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (2-4 hours at a time)
  • Commute to Middletown, PA office
  • Ontime and regular attendance
