Market Nuclear Medicine Technologist Full Time Days Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. Requirements

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
  • Experience : Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification : Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB - RT(N) or CNMT, required.
  • IV Credentialed, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
  • Additional skills required : Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served; has ability to interpret information to identify each patient s requirements for care relative to his / her age-specific needs.
