About The Position

The Market Manager is a senior field leadership role positioned between District Manager and Regional Manager, accountable for the overall health and performance of a defined market, particularly during periods of transition or expansion. This is a build-and-stabilize role focused on establishing strong operations, cultural alignment, leadership capability, and financial discipline to support long-term growth. As a culture carrier and operational leader, the Market Manager ensures every store delivers the 7 Leaves experience through exceptional hospitality, consistent execution, and people-first leadership, bridging strategy and day-to-day operations while supporting leaders and the communities they serve.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or retail environments
  • Direct experience coaching, developing, and performance-managing Store Managers or equivalent people leaders
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through growth, transition, or operational complexity
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, including labor management, controllable costs, and multi-unit performance drivers
  • Proven ability to drive consistent execution of brand, service, safety, and operational standards across multiple locations
  • Hands-on, field-based leadership style with a strong in-store presence
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (approximately 50-70%) across Nevada, Arizona, and San Diego, CA
  • Comfort working flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and effective in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Own full operational, financial, and cultural performance of an assigned market
  • Lead franchise-to-corporate transitions, including expectation resets and alignment to 7 Leaves standards
  • Establish operating cadence, accountability rhythms, and trust across all stores
  • Act as the primary field leader and escalation point for the market
  • Own market-level results including comp, PACE, labor, and controllable costs
  • Identify operational, facilities, staffing, and training gaps early and escalate proactively
  • Partner with Ops, Finance, and Facilities on forecasting and managing incremental market support needs
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand, service, safety, and quality standards
  • Directly coach and assess Store Managers (no DM layer initially)
  • Evaluate leadership capability and identify readiness gaps
  • Build the leadership bench for future District Managers
  • Partner with HR on performance management, corrective action, and leadership transitions
  • Model calm, values-driven leadership through ambiguity and change
  • Serve as the primary market partner for HR, Training, Facilities, Marketing, Supply Chain, and IT
  • Ensure initiatives are landed appropriately for a transition or build-phase market
  • Surface real-time field insights to inform Support Office planning and future expansion strategy
  • Document market learnings to support future buybacks and new market launches
  • Define readiness milestones for introducing a District Manager layer
  • Support long-term scalability of the market as store count and complexity grow
