About The Position

As a Market Manager, you'll report to a Regional Market Manager and be part of our Commercial Construction Field Sales team working as a field based remote employee within your assigned location. You'll support National and Regional strategic plans to achieve individual and team top line sales targets, establish, develop and maintain key relationships with end user partners through product and services solutions, and develop, coach and mentor the team of Trade Specialists reporting directly to you to achieve KPI's, deliverables and targets. You will also ensure the team has appropriate product and sales skills training, act as the local product line expert, and maintain daily communication lines with the Regional Market Manager on business and employee opportunities and risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results preferred.
  • Prior management/team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
  • Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel at least 50% of the month within territory assignment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Experience with SalesForce, PowerBI, Showpad Coach or other CRM/sales optimization system preferred.
  • Able to relocate for future roles over time.

Responsibilities

  • Support National and Regional strategic plans to achieve individual and team top line sales targets.
  • Establish, develop and maintain key relationships with end user partners through product and services solutions.
  • Develop, coach and mentor the team of Trade Specialists reporting directly to you to achieve KPI's, deliverables and targets.
  • Complete effective 'work withs' monthly at a minimum with the end goal of training, developing, and motivating the team to take market share.
  • Ensure team has appropriate product and sales skills training by working with the Regional Field Trainer.
  • Act as the local product line expert for all lines.
  • Act as a liaison between your team of Trade Specialists and other internal teams.
  • Maintain daily communication lines with the Regional Market Manager on business and employee opportunities and risks.
