About The Position
The Market Leader for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) at WSP USA is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and leading the technical T&D practice in Canada. This position entails leading projects, managing specific accounts and engagements, and ensuring compliance with national and local regulations while maintaining high standards of service reliability and customer satisfaction. As a leader in the delivery of clean energy and power sector solutions, WSP is committed to meeting the increasing demand for safe, secure, and sustainable energy for Canadians, which necessitates a substantial expansion of the electricity transmission network. In this leadership capacity, you will leverage WSP's extensive expertise, experience, and innovation to support clients, utilities, and communities in their transition to a new energy future. In this role, you will report directly to the Vice-President of Power and will be responsible for leading and growing the Transmission and Distribution practice. You will act as a thought leader, recognized externally as a top resource in your field, and will make decisions on complex issues regarding project components and team responsibilities. Anticipating business needs, securing necessary resources, and leading initiatives for organizational change will be key aspects of your role. You will also be accountable for leading certain client accounts and engagements within T&D, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and providing oversight on major projects within the T&D team. Collaboration with internal departments and stakeholders to enhance quality and project delivery, as well as mentoring and coaching T&D staff, will also be essential components of your responsibilities.
