About The Position

The IT Manager at Marriott International is responsible for ensuring that the IT landscape effectively supports property business goals while maintaining safety and security. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; 2-4 years' experience in Information Technology or related area.
  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related major with 2 years' experience.
  • 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related major preferred.
  • Prior hospitality system-related experience and professional certifications are desired.

Responsibilities

  • Verify that the IT landscape supports property business goals safely and effectively.
  • Assist the Area IT Manager in identifying and forecasting future technology needs.
  • Provide input into budgetary proposals for capital expenditures.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to ensure IT solutions meet the needs of guests and property leaders.
  • Manage technology needs within budget targets.
  • Analyze and assess the current IT landscape and prepare estimates for necessary upgrades.
  • Evaluate compliance with Marriott International Policies (MIPs).
  • Order required equipment and process vendor invoices.
  • Conduct periodic inventories of applications and hardware.
  • Document and escalate identified security risks in accordance with MIPs.
  • Write and present proposals, analyses, and project plans.
  • Provide customer service to property leadership and associates.
  • Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity related to technology.
  • Provide technical guidance for assigned locations.
  • Perform routine desktop backups and provide end-user support.
  • Execute IT hotel projects and manage vendor installations.
