The Market Grille Cook is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service while preparing various foods for the Market Grille, including all hot and cold foods.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, and record information.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Greets customers in a friendly manner and makes an effort to learn their names.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, and loading/unloading heavy items.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly service to callers.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepares cooking surfaces and menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, and breakfast foods.
• Monitors food amounts in hot cases and refills as necessary.
• Prepares items for upcoming shifts and ensures understanding of all aspects of the Market Grille.
• Practices proper sanitation procedures and maintains a clean work area.
• Adheres to company policies and reports to work on time.
• Orders products and supplies when necessary and assists in other areas of the store as needed.
